Bowman's Hill is best known for its wildflower preserve showcasing
nearly a thousand species of plants native to Pennsylvania. Thanks to
its location on Route 32 along the Delaware Canal, it's also a good
place to start a bike ride.
Aquetong Road leads inland from the park toward some scenic areas
south of New Hope. Ridge Road, for example, runs through an unspoiled
area of protected farmland. Van Sant Road passes through the Van Sant
Covered Bridge, which was built in 1875 and is the last of the old
covered bridges left in this part of the county. ...
NOTE: The canal path suffered extensive flood damage in 2004 and 2005. Sections of the towpath were closed until they could be repaired. Please check for updated information on closings before purchasing this guide. Click here to see our flood information page.
